    Introduction: Li Di (in the 12th century) was from the north of Yellow River. He served at painting academies during the Xuanhe and Shaoxing periods and he was active in creation. He was good at painting birds & flowers, bamboo & stone that were in very fine description and in a fresh style. His painting rolls were finished by very fine, delicate and smooth brushstrokes in an exquisite composition, and the most important point was highlighted by elaboration in slight ink, leaving an awe-inspiring feeling as if storms were approaching.
