  Introduction: Emperor Huizong (1082 - 1135), being the last emperor of the Northern Song Dynasty, he was skillful at calligraphy and painting. This picture was finished when Emperor Huizong was 31 and is a masterpiece.

  Introduction: Li Di (in the 12th century) was from the north of Yellow River. He served at painting academies during the Xuanhe and Shaoxing periods and he was active in creation. He was good at painting birds & flowers, bamboo & stone that were in very fine description and in a fresh style. His painting rolls were finished by very fine, delicate and smooth brushstrokes in an exquisite composition, and the most important point was highlighted by elaboration in slight ink, leaving an awe-inspiring feeling as if storms were approaching.

  Introduction: Ren Xun (1835-1893): Also named as Fuchang, he was a painter at the late Qing Dynasty. He was good at painting figures, landscape and esp. flowers & birds; his painting style is fresh that can suit both refined and popular tastes and he was a major famous painter of "Shanghai Painting Party".
